Flights to Malta

A small archipelago located in the heart of the Mediterranean Sea, Malta is one of the six microstates of Europe and lies in the southern part of the continent. Throughout history, it has had periods when it was the smallest country in the world, but the Maltese islands have been conquered and ruled by various powers over the centuries. Malta gained its independence from Great Britain in 1964 and has been a member of the European Union since 2004. Today, Malta is one of the smallest and most densely populated countries in the world. The Maltese archipelago consists of six islands: Malta, Gozo, Comino, Filfla, and two twin islands, St. Paul. The fourth largest island, Filfla, is uninhabited and was used as a British military base, which was blown up upon their departure.

Malta's natural beauty attracts tourists from all over the world every year. Malta enchants visitors with its stunning beaches. The Blue Lagoon, located between the islands of Comino and Cominotto, is one of the main tourist attractions, while the Barrakka Gardens in Valletta provide another destination that will captivate nature lovers.
